Yom Kippur
Even though I'm only half a Jew I still like to celebrate Yom Kippur. My cousin Dan and I fast every year, then go to our relatives' house to break the fast with the rest of the family. I was disappointed this year to find my 2nd cousin 3x removed had forgotten all about the kugel-- my favorite! Oh well, maybe next year. Or I could try to score the secret Saltzberg family recipe and make it myself...
Conservative and sexy. Good thing I wore a slip cause the wind was out with a vengeance when we left my building.
This next one is really posed but I had to get one with the shoes in it:

Tough Choice
This one's from last Saturday. I woke up at 11, took forever to get ready, then set out to run some errands. I got a few blocks from my apartment, realized I had about 100 hours' worth of homework due on Monday and decided to go back and finish some of it. I did not regret that decision. One more step towards responsible adulthood!

Remix-tastic
The top I wore today was originally a strapless dress. The night before I left for school I hacked the top off to make it into a skirt. It also works remarkably well as a belted tunic. I love versatility!
I used Liz's camera for today's shots. Although my dad offered to give me his I'm thinking about just biting the bullet and getting myself a new camera. Thoughts on what model is best for a starving college student/avid photoblogger?

Taking the Plunge
I had been wanting bangs for like... a week and a half now. And my roots needed a touch-up at the salon anyway, so I just went for it:

Killing Two Birds with One Stone
Since my camera is not repairable and I have a very intimidating Arabic quiz on Wednesday, I figured I would mix business with pleasure and give you guys a little vocab lesson! Let's begin:
Dress = ﻓﺴﺘﺎﻦ = "fus-TAAN" (via ModCloth)
skirt =ﺗﻨﻮﺮة = "ta-NOO-ra" (via Ruche)
Blouse = ﺑﻠﻮزة = "BLOO-za" (via Ruche)
shirt =ﻗﻤﻴﺺ = "qa-MEES" (via Forever 21)
Sweater = ﺑﻠﻮﻓﺮ = "BUL-ofer" (kind of like "pullover") (via ModCloth)
OK, now onto the other 100 vocab words I have to memorize. Wish me luck!
