Style Icon: Sheena Matheiken
Have you guys ever heard of the Uniform Project? Well let me tell you about it. Last May, fashionista Sheena Matheiken decided to wear the same little black dress (above) every day for exactly one year in an effort to raise money for the Akanksha Foundation, an organization that helps children get schooling in India. Every day she accessorized and layered to make the same exact dress look fresh and brand new. Was she successful? You be the judge-- in one year she managed to raise almost $80,000 and send 220 children to school. Want to know more about Sheena's efforts? Want to see all the outfits she created? Hello, sunshine
The last time I wore this dress was the first day of junior year. Oh how time flies. Hope you guys enjoy these shots cause they cost me about 7 mosquito bites! My backyard is beautiful but full of bugs.
Normally yellow looks awful on me, but this tone is an exception.

Flowers and Stripes
My best friend Connie turned 21 today! Here's what I wore to her birthday dinner at a local restaurant:
This dress has been sitting in the back of my closet for about a year, since I bought it on sale at Forever 21. I don't own anything else like it.

Two Worlds
This outfit reminds me of a cute outfit outfit the Good Girl Gone Blog posted recently, which she called "mixing genres". I feel like this look is mixing genres a little bit, too. The top is kinda retro and the skirt is kinda bohemian:
Do you guys think I can pull it off?

I'm on a boat!
My mother is not a woman to be outdone. On May 17th she turned 60 in style in Rome, Italy with my dad and me; but this wasn't enough. So, yesterday she invited 48 of her closest family members and friends to wine and dine on the USS Sequoia Presidential Yacht. What does one wear on a boat of this magnitude? See for yourself:

We all wanted to steer the boat:
Everyone was very patriotic

In which I prove that I have forgotten how to pose for pictures
I wore this out to dinner for my cousin Alyssa's 23rd birthday. Tip to anyone looking for a light meal at Bertucci's-- the Insalata salad is basically some wilted iceberg lettuce and like two cucumbers. You're better off just filling up on the rolls.
Also, can you believe this long top was a dress when I first bought it?
In Rome
I wish the washing machine didn't shrink all my clothes.
