As you may remember from my last post, I spent this weekend in NYC for the Chictopia.10 Conference. You guys. It was awesome. I met some great girls whose blogs I already read (namely the adorable Jennifhsieh), listened to some amazing bloggers I somehow hadn't discovered yet (helloooo, Liz and Vanessa), and had a great experience learning about social media and the fashion industry. Here's my conference outfit. Photos taken by my cousin Sarah, who graciously opened her apartment to me for the 31 hours I was in the city. There's only one part of the outfit I would change-- the boots! Shoes can make or break an outfit, so why did I leave my heels in Boston?!
What are your thoughts on shoes' role in a look?
Lace top- borrowed from roomie Liz (from TJMaxx?)
Tights- Hue
bag- BDG via Urban Outfitters
boots- Target
bracelets- BP Nordstrom
necklace- vintage, inherited

i'm so glad i got to meet you! you're ridiculously gorgeous in person. :)
shoes really can make or break an outfit but i thought those boots worked pretty well. it could be worse! haha. don't forget to mention you won an ipad!!
I love your outfit! I definitely agree that shoes can make or break an outfit. Sometimes I plan my outfits around what shoes I want to wear, then go from there.
I think the boots look great!
I do agree that shoes can really make or break a look, and you need to plan accordingly --- if you are going to spend the day on your feet, don't wear something that requires killer heels!
I loved the NY Times feature on the street fashion shoes of fashion week, and they had a bunch of photos of women changing out of their heels and putting on flip flops. haha.
You are such a beautiful girl and love your skirt!
