Greetings from New Hampshire! I'm up at my Uncle's lake house with my family until Sunday. I didn't pack too much, since I expect to be either in a bathing suit or sweatpants for most of the weekend (did I just break some fashion blogger code by admitting that?), but I did bring a nice-ish outfit in case we went out to dinner one night. That night ended up being tonight:

Mexican adventure
Some photos from the first 48 hours of my trip:
Despite being burnt to a CRISP right now (seriously, so much pain), I'm having a really good time! How is your week going?

Spring break reminiscing
Although I am beyond excited for my spring break trip this year, I have been thinking about last year's trip a lot lately. Last year at this time I was living in Paris and during our break, three friends and I traveled around Spain and Morocco for a week. I was recently going through the photos and I realized I've never shared them on this blog! So if you're interested in seeing some cute shots from mystical, faraway places, look no further! And feel free to ask me any questions about these places, I
Barcelona
Our first day in Barça! I forget what was so important about this fountain. I think it may be famous?
Outfit shot.
Barcelona has the best farmer's market of any place that has ever existed. Just look at their selection of chocolates!
Casablanca
I have friends in Casablanca who were gracious enough to take the four of us in for a few days and show us around the city. The next few pictures are from the Hassan II Mosque, which was built in the 80s. It's the 5th largest mosque in the world (and it's pretty effing epic).
After bumming around the outside for a few hours, we got to go inside for a short tour
Rabat
These are ancient Roman ruins just outside the medina, or inner city of Rabat. My friend Cailee is a huge archaeology nerd, and she was geeking out hardcore the entire time. Not that I blamed her, the ruins were awesome.
This next picture is a tomb in which several Moroccan kings are buried:
Marrakech/the Ourika Valley
My Moroccan best friend, Saida the baby dromedary! Dromedaries are camels with only one hump. Tasia got very jealous when she saw this picture.
View from atop my dromedary
The Ourika Valley. We spent this morning in a Berber village.
Well, there we go! I leave for Cancun at 6:30 tomorrow morning, and I'm bringing my computer, so check back for updates. If you're still in school, what are you doing for break? Are you going to blog about it? Let me know so I can follow your trip, too!

Beach Bum
Even though I'm back in frigid Virginia, I thought it would be nice to show the outfit I spent the better part of this past week in:

Target dress; Aero bikini top; c/o Boy Meets Girl tote; H&M sunglasses
More outfit posts to come this week! I have several meetings in DC so expect some more business casual (aka the exact opposite of this).

The Accidental Patriot
How do you like my red, white, and blue? Totally not planned.

Super scenic photoshoot on Staten Island. If you squint reeeeaaaaally hard you can see Manhattan in the background.

I got a great shot of Lady Liberty on the way over. It took a lot of effort, though, the woman is such a minx!

Thinking up titles for posts is annoying
Today was a beautiful day in the city. I met up with Emma again during her lunch break for Crumbs cupcakes and casual conversation in Bryant Park.

The real piece of resistance:
A vintage Dooney and Bourke messenger bag. You can tell I'm in love by the way I have it cradled in my arms like a child. There's only one thing I love more.
Check out the fall version of this outfit, too. I mean like, if you're into that sorta thing.

So much drama in the NYC
Times Square tourist photo shoot courtesy of my favorite Emma Aubry of La Vie en Ginger. Exposure was too high on my shitty camera (my fault) so they came out a little grainy but I'm not too torn up about it.

What am I doing in New York City? Well, so far I have browsed vintage goods at Brooklyn Flea, ridden the Cyclone roller coaster and eaten greasy onion rings at Coney Island, window-shopped on 5th Avenue, and ordered a drink from probably every single Starbucks in the city. What's next: bumming around SoHo, visiting the MET Costume Institute to check out the "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity" exhibit (that I read about in two separate Vogues) and, finally, a 5-hour bus ride back to Union Station on Thursday to be reunited with the white monuments and disgruntled politicians of my homeland. East Coast one love.

Greetings from the Loire Valley
My program has ended and I am out of Paris! Kind of sad, but it was time to move on. Check out these sweet yellow flowers I found in the countryside of Pays de la Loire:

LDN
This past weekend I made the pilgrimage to London with Sylvia to see her favorite singer Adam Lambert's first performance in the UK. It was an incredible weekend. Here are some of the sights:
Sounds about right. Hope your weekend was as good as mine!
