Since today marks the second day in a row my boss has worn jeans to the office, I feel like there's no point in continuing to stretch my distinctly Casual wardrobe into five separate Business Casual outfits a week. Not that you guy have seen any of my business casual looks (oopsie). I'll try to post more outfits, but it's pretty hard to find friends who have enough free time to take my picture/it's pretty hard to take selfies when you don't have a tripod. Just sayin'. Also just sayin' my birthday is next Monday, so...

SOWA Market
Since I am a fashion blogger, commonly accepted stereotypes demand I visit a flea/antique/farmers market at least twice a season, if not more. The South End's SOWA (SOuth of WAshington street) Market allowed me to reach my quota for the Summer this past Sunday. After going, I feel that SOWA is kind of like Eastern Market's slightly less cool younger sibling (or maybe I'm just biased because I'm from DC), but I still enjoyed spending the day there.

My favorite part was the Roxy's grilled cheese sandwich I had for lunch. But does it compare to brunch at Montmartre?
Tell me about your weekend!

Quick post today. Spent the day at the gym/wandering around Allston with Monique. Wore a dress I bought on sale during my trip back to Virginia. What did you do today?

On Safari
Except not really because the most dangerous and exciting place I went today was my pilates class. And I was wearing spandex, not this.

In other news, I'm hoping my next entry will include pictures taken with my 21st birthday present. It's supposed to get here tomorrow and I am so beyond excited about it. Details later in the week.

Summer Scarf Part II
Saw this scarf-turban tutorial from What I Wore on Lemondrop. Today was a terrible hair day for me so I got to put it to use right away:

In other news, happy blogoversary to me! I started this blog on July 28th 2009. How has my style evolved since last summer? Check out the archives to see some of my past looks.

Summer Scarf
Summer scarf? Not my best idea. It's kind of hot out. But I did need something to punch up this otherwise boring outfit.
Bitch pose. I'm judging you.

The Accidental Patriot
How do you like my red, white, and blue? Totally not planned.

Super scenic photoshoot on Staten Island. If you squint reeeeaaaaally hard you can see Manhattan in the background.

I got a great shot of Lady Liberty on the way over. It took a lot of effort, though, the woman is such a minx!

Thinking up titles for posts is annoying
Today was a beautiful day in the city. I met up with Emma again during her lunch break for Crumbs cupcakes and casual conversation in Bryant Park.

The real piece of resistance:
A vintage Dooney and Bourke messenger bag. You can tell I'm in love by the way I have it cradled in my arms like a child. There's only one thing I love more.
Check out the fall version of this outfit, too. I mean like, if you're into that sorta thing.
top- Macys
