Sox Rox

Last night I went to the Sox vs. Orioles game at Fenway with my friend and fellow foodie Cmita of Nosh Shots. I borrowed my roomie Hillary's cap to show some team pride without looking like a frump in an oversized Red Sox tee:

If you look to the left of this next shot you can kind of see the lady whose creepy hair was all up on my arm throughout most of the game:
My french mani from several weeks ago has held up quite well.
Pretty good seats. Thanks, Uncle Robert!

Shield your eyes!

Blah, so I want to apologize in advance for the first photo. I had a brunch at 11AM and didn't wake up until 10, so no makeup or blow-dryer were involved:
After brunch I did a lot of glamorous things like, for example, buy a massive 9-pack of toilet paper at Shaw's. Fortunately for all the other customers of the toiletries aisle I had stopped back at the room long enough to make myself up a little bit. So... at least there's that.
Oh, I did do a great job with the outfit today. I mean like not to toot my own horn or anything but... toot.

Fall into Me

Due to the chill factor in B-town this weekend, I chose to wear a pair of jeans. Not just any jeans though. Today I chose to break out the pink jeans. Can I actually pull off pink jeans? You be the judge:
Oh hi, chunky ring, fancy finding you at the bottom of my purse:

pink jeans and black cardigan- Target (let it be known that this word is pronounced 'Tar-jay' and not in any other way that may be phonetically transcribed as 'Tar-git'. Way too classy for that shit here.)
ring- So Good on Newbury
top- TJ Maxx, some random brand, it leaves my armpits black so I don't wear it often, maybe that's too much information, whatever.

The trifecta

Today I went to Davis Square (red line) with some beautiful girls for some coffee, cupcakes, and vintage-- a trifecta of favorites for me. Where did we find these things? Diesel Coffee, Kickass Cupcakes, and Poor Little Rich Girl. I didn't buy any clothes but I did get some delicious food and drink from the other two, plus a cute poster from another small store AND a delicious crepe from Mr. Crepe.

I also received this gem from my mom at around 10pm:
The socks with sandals. The above-the-knee shorts. The towel bib. The bowl in hand. The finger raised towards the heavens. Classic dad. So classic.

Specifics:

cupcake- Mojito Cupcake from Kickass Cupcakes
crepe- arugula, ricotta, and portabella mushroom crepe from Mr. Crepe

dad's clothes- from the Dorky Dad Store. He buys all of them there. He's so embarrassing! :)

The lampshade effect

Yeah, so there was no post yesterday because my camera was misplaced. But now I can wear that outfit again! Eventually...

Anyways, here's today's ensemble:
I saw this skirt in the Reston Town Center Anthropologie and fell in love. When I showed it to my dad online he said it looked like a lampshade. Several days later my mom decided to buy it for me with his money. HA HA, DAD. HA HA.
Fortunately he liked it when he saw it in person.
I never thought I'd get the chance to wear this fancy Urban headband but I've actually donned it twice in the past two weeks!
These bangles were given to me by one relative or another. Possibly my Jewish nana or maybe one of my Aunts.
Isn't the pattern awesome? I actually started the day out in a green cap-sleeved sweater (you can see it draped over the foot of the bed because unlike normal people who put away or wash their clothes I like to throw them around the room. For decoration.) but it got too hot.

The best thing ever

Ladies and... let's be honest, other ladies, I would like to introduce you to you my new favorite piece of clothing. The article that elicited a chorus of "ooh"s and "ah"s and "I love your dress!!!!"es from all who were graced by my presence today. The simple piece of cloth and buttons that effortlessly combines '50s housewife, sexy librarian, and any other retro stereotype you can imagine. I present to you, my most prized thrift store purchase of all time:
Did I build it up too much? No? It's flawless? It's perfect? Feel free to ogle for as long as you so please. Did I mention it was $8?

I spent the day on Newbury Street using up all my money on posters for my room and cookies for my pot belly:

Finally got to pick up my free birthday lipgloss package (Sephora Beauty Insider card, girls! Just do it!):And afterwards I dressed it up with a bun and a swipe of eyeliner for a classy dining hall dinner:

P.S. Do I get some kind of award for wearing the same shoes every day for almost a week?
